Latham Film
April 2011
Raleigh and Owen Latham are two up and coming filmmakers in the Bay Area, California. They’re developing a distinctive creative voice, and needed a website with a strong, bold visual concept that would reflect, and evolve with their personal style.

Zelda Madness
March 2010
Zelda Madness was a fundraising video game marathon. They needed a website which was visually rich, and reusable for other videogames for future events.
This issue was solved by creating, for every page, a background image that was a “photograph” of various locations in Hyrule – the fictional kingdom of the Zelda Universe. All the images were composites, created using Creative Commons licensed images from Flickr.
The site is sadly no longer live—but my picks of the composites were the Temple of Time, Gerudo Desert, and Hyrule Castle!

Lithium Hosting
November 2009
Lithium Hosting were looking to redesign their site to be cleaner, “friendlier”, and easier to use. Key aspects considered when redesigning Lithium Hosting’s website (see old) were increasing the prominence of their plans and emphasizing their selling points of being a small, lean host that cares about their customers.
In addition to the website redesign, we rewrote the content to better communicate the benefits rather than the specifications. All the coding was handled by the enigmatic Mr. Lithium!

Annie’s Loft
August 2009
Annie’s Loft & Studio is a luxury bed and breakfast located in Waipara, New Zealand. They required the design and development of a website that would be ready by the time the B&B opened for business.
The budget and timeline were tight, and it was imperative that the website be easily updatable; so in order to best meet the client’s needs, the final product was based on the “blank-slate” WP-Remix theme, which allowed for a quick turnaround and easy updating! Also included in the final website was an online reservation system, complete with credit card processing.

USSA
November 2008
For a school project, I chose to design a fictional promotional campaign for a satirical book about the superpowers of our modern age. This involved the design of a book cover, posters and website, as well as page layout for the inside of the book.
The visual style was heavily influenced by Russian Constructivism; and ironic twists on American symbols were used as a subject matter – such as the Statue of Liberty holding a hammer!
Whitehead Plumbing & Gas
August 2008
Whitehead Plumbing & Gas is a Christchurch based plumbing company operated by Mark Whitehead.
The brief called for a website consistent with existing company stationery, and emphasized ties to the MPGD of NZ.
The resulting site is clean and very easy to navigate – something of utmost importance when a pipe in your bathroom bursts!
